Job Purpose
To protect patient by ensuring continuous supply of critical medicines, Sanofi Global Supply Chain structure his Business Continuity approach with a dedicated organization.
In order to ensure this supply across the entire chain value We want to proactively identify and mitigate risks, analyze potential products at stake, support management decision and implement adapted measures. Operating in a global environment, this role requires collaboration with senior stakeholders across regions and functions, combining advanced quantitative analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation planning. The position is critical in driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring resilience in case of supply chain disruptions. To ensure an efficient increase of resilience through BCP best practices, You will audit the global chain in a spirit of continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
·Risk Identification and Analysis:
- Assess revenue at stake across global sites, GBUs, or markets by evaluating identified risk factors, with a focus on high-priority operations.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain advanced risk models that provide real-time insights, ensuring data accuracy through automation and consistent updates.
- Identify and escalate emerging risks that could disrupt business continuity (e.g., low inventory coverage, supplier dependencies, absence of contingency plans) and propose solutions.
- Provide support in evaluating mitigation levers, including their feasibility and associated financial impact (e.g., cost of inventory holding, backup site setup).
·Mitigation Strategy and Execution
- Collaborate with global supply chain and manufacturing teams to design and validate actionable mitigation strategies against identified risks.
- Consolidate expected mitigation outcomes, including cost implications, and present scenarios to senior leadership for decision-making.
- Coordinate the seamless implementation of mitigation strategies by working with internal teams (e.g., site managers, commercial leads) and external partners.
- Monitor and manage the ramp-down process post-risk period, ensuring a return to optimal inventory levels and resource allocation.
·Global Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key interface between global supply chain functions, manufacturing teams, commercial units, and other critical stakeholders to align on risk priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings to review risks, align on mitigation efforts, and address escalations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to executive leadership, summarizing risk analyses, mitigation plans, and achieved outcomes.
·Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Lead initiatives to improve risk identification and mitigation processes, leveraging global best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
- Drive the adoption of digital tools to enhance efficiency in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting risks across the global supply chain.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational resilience through process optimization and strategic investments.
- Audit the global value chain to monitor its resilience level.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and technological advancements to recommend proactive solutions.
·Training and Development
- Act as a subject matter expert in supply chain risk management, sharing knowledge and best practices across the organization.
- Mentor and support team members in improving their technical, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Promote a culture of resilience and proactive risk management within the global supply chain community.
Skills/Expertise/Experience:
Proven experience in global supply chain risk assessment and mitigation, with an ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
Expertise in quantitative data analysis, including advanced modeling techniques and proficiency in tools like Power BI / KNIME / Innowera
Strong understanding of supply chain operations, inventory management, and cost optimization strategies.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven track record of engaging with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with business continuity planning and an ability to propose scalable solutions for global challenges.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills/Expertise/Experience:
Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing industries, with a solid understanding of regulatory and quality requirements.
Advanced knowledge of financial flows, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.
Experience in leveraging digital tools and technologies (e.g., automation, AI) to enhance risk management processes.
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
Multicultural experience, with a proven ability to work in a global, matrixed organization.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain risk management, quantitative analysis, or a similar global role.
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
